Anyone familiar with this company that recruits ALTs?
http://www.jalss.com/
They pay 250-260k/month and seem pretty legit. I've just heard bad things about dispatch companies and want to check their rep.
BTW: Search for JALSS gets 0 hits
Thanks |

Ah yes, also known as JAL Haken. This joint gets a pretty bad rap on gaijinpot, but those threads get pulled because they advertise there. I expect the same here. |

They advertise under several names.
Interac does somewhat the same thing: Selnate, Interac, Maxceed, Selti... |

Or we aren't sure? |

I am just about to send my application in, would anyone advice me against it?
I'm having a go at everything at the moment, not being too fussy.
Interesting they ask for absolutely everything on the application form, including the email of your cell phone.
One thing: their grammar is not the best on the website, which gave me some hints as to their rep. |

Why don't you just go for jobs strait-up and leave out the middle-man?
There are tons of ALT jobs...everywhere--Those agencies are no-good man!

LOL I just sent the application anyway (won't hurt) and the next page said thus:
"We Recived your information now"
I have a bad feeling about this |

Are minor mistakes from a bilingual(ish) Japanese speaker of English what put you off of working for these companies (rather than the pay and general terms of the contract)?! If so, thank goodness that the Japanese people that they employ are almost as stupid as their AETs! |

Wouldn't say it put me off entirely, it justs looks unprofessional to have basic spelling mistakes on a professional website. |

Well, Dave's is a professional site, but that never stopped all the fingerless pianists out there from becoming ESL teachers and spelling for sh*t with their butts. |
