Or if you would refer me to another post in case this is redundant.
Thanks, Mike |

Only visited, never worked there, but Bangkok is a glorious, sprawling, noisy, vibrant, colorful, dirty, glorious MONSTER of a city where you'll be able to witness the whole spectrum of humanity and even subhumanity.... Great place to wonder about, get lost in.... chinatown is fantastic, so many different and varied areas....
Only been twice on holiday but I'd imagine if you can find a few good friends there to soicalise with and keep away from the Kho San and the Na Na bar scene you could have a bloody blast!
I could never work there though because of the heat. I work in Korea and the three months of humid summer we have here nearly wipes me out... Bangkok would kill me....
Awesome city though, truly is.... |

I have found that most big cities in the States are dirtier and noisier than Bangkok. |

As the previous post mentioned BKK is great for all of the above reasons. I have worked there for 8 years and loved every min. of it.
The heat can be a problem, but think of it this way, you never get cold! |

Best to take a month & travel around this beautiful land.
Then, you will either choose between mega-job-opolis based in the capital or a more rural setting.
Study Thai if you plan on living here for awhile too.
