I find being *beep*-teased by little crack whores works well for that.

Intrestingly, you don't question the crack or the *beep* bit

Dear Ghost,

I really don't like to run, but I heard that abdominal exercises alone won't give me a nice stomach. Is this true or is it just another exercise myth? Also, how do you get rid of "love handles"? Is there a specific exercise I can do to get rid of them? Thanks for your help.

mthood, if you go down your local gym and explain what you want. They will devise a specific program for you. They'll give you all sorts of tests and tell you fat content in your left arm, etc. If that's what you want.

But at the end of the day if you want to burn fat then you have to run, cycle, cross train...... eat well and not drink loads of beer Sad

In two or three places next to the sea in Ayvalik there is what at first glance looks like a children's playground but is, on closer inspection, an outside gym for adults. They are free to use and popular. I think it's a great idea but haven't seen these anywhere else. Does anyone know if there are others?

Yes, there are a few dotted around Istanbul. It's great to see the old ladies on them. But they're completely made of metal, which worries me a little - there's no cushioning like at the gym. The guys who work in my gym in England were always going on about injuries caused by people not knowing exactly how to use the equipment.
I would like suggestions for exercises for arms and the upper stomach bit that I can do at home please. Too poor for gyms. Sad

Do both men and women use them?

It sounds like a free perving session for Magandas.
It wouldn't work in Istanbul.

I've only ever seen the old ladies use them (sprightly looking but don't think the magandas would be interested) and they're in small parks around blocks of flats in the slightly more upmarket areas. Perhaps they're just for the residents and we were trespassing, don't know.

I have never seen this sort of thing. Is it a suburb thing?

You mentioned upmarket areas. Don't upmarket areas have gyms?

The sea between alsancak and Konak has indeed been cleaned and you can even see the bottom and the fish swimming there and sea birds diving for food ,but I would advise against actually swimming in the port of Izmir .Travel out about 10-15 kms and people can be seen in the surf further along and there are more and more places ,you don't have to travel out to Cesme to swim but I think the journey is worth the reward .Also there are a lot of water sports and activities snorkling and even scuba diving defintely not boring .
I understand this summer aerobics on the beach are the in thing .
