|
|
Hello there !
Are there any Yahoo Mail customers in China experiencing problems with their address bar (or whatever it's called), near the top of the screen ? Mine disappeared a couple of days ago ! Does anyone know what's going on ? Is this a world-wide phenomenon,; or is it just happening in China ?
Regards,
Peter |

Hi Peter,
I don't use a Yahoo e-mail a/c, but I haven't been able to access Yahoo Groups. I can find it in Google, but when I actually click on the link...it goes on the blink.

Both Yahoo Mail and Groups seems to be working fine up to this point in the US. And I am into both of them every day.

I just had some weirdness with my account--I couldn't access the page, and then I got redirected to yahoo.com.international, or something.

One of my friends here in Shanghai with a Yahoo.ca address hasn't been able to access her account since sometime in September.
Also, people with Yahoo.ca addresses haven't been receiving my emails from China since about the same time.
Yahoo.com used to be fine, but now I wonder... |

I've had problems accessing the internet lately from my computer, and when I talked to the foreign office about it, they said there's this computer virus going around servers in China, blocking access to the internet. Maybe that's part of your problem. My access seems to be OK now, for the first time in like a week and a half. The problem seemed to be worse at night, for some reason. I think this virus had something to do with cookies -- like, as soon as your computer sends a cookie back to the server, the virus makes the server block the site. (I'm not sure if this is right or anything -- it's just a guess based on the fact that if I get rid of all the cookies on my computer, it was more likely that I could get online.) |
