And take a look at the signature -- "nothing is impossible". Sounds like a good automatic citizen, probably likes basketball as well.
englishname -- some people who get fed up with the deceit and lies decide to "just do it" and extricate themselves from unsavoury circumstances. Their warnings help others make more informed decisions regarding future employment.
As you already know, "nothing is impossible". Chinese schools have been known to act illegally. |

And one 'member' of the forum naming another in this way is against the forum rules.
Goodbye, Englishname! |

Let me reiterate my key points to this thread:
BYD cheated me out of my last months salary of 4800 rmb. I asked various people working there to pay me and they all came up with 100 excuses why they were not going to pay me.
Every month I was cheated out of salary and given so many lame excuses as to why they would not pay me.
BYD promised me a working visa but I ended up working illegally.
The signed contract and signed contract addendum meant absolutely nothing to BYD - they cheated me regardless of what the contract specified.
Many lies about hours. Before coming to China they wrote me that I was only need to teach 17 to 20 hours a week. Once there they said that they decided I needed to work 30 to 40 hours a week just like the chinese employees. When I mentioned that the contract did not specify overtime I was told that the chinese employees did not get paid extra to work more and neither would I.
When the contract was changed and signed by both parties come payday I was cheated again by the training director chan by saying he did not read it before he signed it so he was not going to pay me for extra hours worked. The addendum specified overtime rates.
I worked many extra hours and was promised to be paid for these hours but BYD outright cheated me of due salary.
To sum it up, BYD COMPANY in China turned out to be a bad company with no skills in dealing with foreigners and a mindset that it is perfectly ok to cheat those it engages in business with. A contract means absolutely nothing to them and they seem to take sport in openly cheating all those that they can. |

The first lie is salary related as were most of the lies and issues from this company.
The first month I was here I was asked to start work early. I asked about the salary and was told I that would get paid the full months salary. I said that was ok and started working. Pay day came and guess what LIE NUMBER ONE! They only paid me 1/2 the salary and started making excuses as to why I received a lesser amount. |

I don't have any experience in China, but I have dealt with shady schools in Japan. My question: after they lied to you about the first month's salary, why did you ever stay? |

Yes!
My doubt is the same with shuize!
If BYD did really lie to you about the first month's salary, why did you ever stay?
And also, when you quited your job in BYD as a threaten to BYD, because you know there is no replace teacher , but BYD accepted your resignation, why did you send this message:
MOD EDIT
absolutely, you are good at finesse and lies!
Although BYD has not new replace teacher now just because of your slander on BYD , but BYD work a very good co-operation relationship with another foreign teacher!
BYD rather choose to stop the training program, not AGREE THAT you work in BYD any longer, because you made so many damages to BYD !
"You want to stay away from BYD", it is a very news for BYD, and it is appreciated!
GOOD LUCK AND BEST WISHES! |

Ok, come on folks, are you forgetting what it's like when you first get here? It takes a while to sink in to realize that they are indeed a bunch of finks and after you realize that, it doesn't do much good because you lack the experience to know what to do next. The OP more than likely also has a limited contact with people outside of the institution other than students and a not very good Chinese yet. He/she was scared, upset, and had little idea about what to do or who to report to in this case. Don't blame the victim.
I hear your pain, OP, I really do. I have had to deal with things like this over and over again; I have terrible luck. There will be no legal justice, you more than likely won't be able to get the money you are owed, and you should just accept that fact and move on.

Englishname is a Chinese lacky affiliated with said company. Get off our forums and go back to work. We will believe the OP more than you ANY DAY. Also, with such filthy grammar and writing skills, you should take some of those classes that your terrible center offers, don't you think? |

Englishname - if you want to convince us that BYD is a good employer then tell us more about this -

tell us about this very good co-operation - tell us about what BYD can offer as an employer - tell us if you offer a good rate of pay with overtime - and how many hours you are expected to work a week for your company - tell us of the conditions that the teacher meets when working for BYD.
OP its not worth getting into a slanging match with Englishname - let EN tell us more about this company first!!!! |

What in the devil does BYD mean anyway?
It sounds like some kind of STD or social disease that won't go away.
B - Build
Y - Your
D - Doom? |
