Has anybody had any luck finding cheap flights from Taiwan (TPE) to N.America specifically Toronto?
I'm looking for flights home this summer and the prices that I've found so far are ridiculously expensive. Is it cheaper to fly from Hong Kong or somewhere else on the mainland?[/b] |

Nope. It is expensive hence most people go home once every 3 years - it's times like this I wish I was in Tokyo - being a major des flights are cheaper! |

I hope that's NT otherwise he must be flying business class with caviar for snacks in flight meals cooked by Jamie Oliver and 'relaxation services' provided by Jenna Jameson |

Seriously though Big Wally, if that's round trip it's an awesome price, but if it's one way it's about standard (maybe a bit less). If you could find out that would be much appreciated. |

Bought it at Startravel, online. Flew to SFO. Rtrn ticket was open for one year, Cathay Pacific. Outbound Feb10, returned Mar 4th. I used airmiles to get to Toronto for free but that's not your question.
Zuji.com
startravel
eztravel
The above 3 websites have good prices. One does need to have a Chinese friend to read the website.
However, summer is high season. You'd find nothing less than$32000 or so for the summer. If your dates aren't flexible, it will be 10% or more higher unless you're lucky.

i found united has ticket to many north amerian cities (my ticket was ti Tuscon) for 695 dollars. I paid 650,000 korean won for my ticket from taipei to Tuscon and 300,000 from Jeju island to Taipei. Not bad getting back for about 1,000 us dollars.
I went with yahoo's farechase. www.farechase.yahoo.com |

OK, I'll take a look at that.
Right now we're looking at returns to Toronto for about $1400 Cdn taxes in with some different travel agencies, but we're having to wait to confirm seats as it appears to be super busy season when we want to leave. |
