Hi all,
I am a Chinese American who wants to learn French and live in France for at least a year. My mother tongue is Mandarin but I have native-level fluency in English (moved to LA and completed middle school, high school and college in the US). I am graduating this year with my master's in comparative and international education from Oxford. I've been looking for teaching positions in France but have run into several problems:
1. For some positions I discovered them too late (mid-April)
2. I am not a "native speaker" of English
3. I have very limited French
4. I have no certification in teaching foreign language and no formal teaching experiences
I am also very fluent in Chinese and I am wondering if it is possible for me to teach Chinese in France/Paris. However I have no idea where to start looking (as most information is in English about English-teaching and the information in French is inaccessible to me).
If anyone has any idea or suggestion, please help! I am quite lost.
Thank you very much!

Do you have an EU passport or the right to work in France? It might be tricky wthout but you have a good combo of languages on offer. |
