He posts every six months or so. Best guess is he screws teachers on what minimal pay is on offer and tries to sound "cool" in recruiting new ones. Plus if you're "cool" and won't "sell out" to "the man" you will be "totally awesome" in the eyes of your "dope" peers for "following your dreams dude" and "like totally" teaching in a country with "like weed and hot chicks." Got it? |

There was quite a lengthy thread a while back about this guy, again trying to decipher his job ad. There's no way I would work for someone like that!

I think he is trying to tell us how wonderful his school is and the environment to work in although conditions and pay must be pretty poor.
Perhaps something to ignore. |

I think this ad is very funny, it tickled me anyway. If I was looking for work in Peru I would want to find out more from this guy. At least he has a sense of humour which is more than I can say for some of the complaining old people around here ha ha. |

Well, some of us "complaining old people" want to know a bit more about a school before we go through the hassle of applying!
We hear tips from employers about what sort of information, and how much information, we should include in a cover letter to capture a potential employer's interest. There are some generally agreed-upon guidelines for what works and what doesn't work. Why shouldn't the same apply to employers posting job ads?
Seriously, if I were an employer and this guy were a potential candidate, his cover letter (assuming it was equally "funny") would go straight into the trash can.
Maybe I just have no sense of humor, though. Life has made me bitter.
