Hi all,
I am a U.S. citizen with an MA TESOL. I am also married to a Panamanian. I understand it is nearly impossible to find work there without a visa or being Panamanian. But, does being married to one help?
Does anyone know of any schools or colleges that might need teachers? I don't want to teach small children but might be open to high school. If anyone has a bit of info., I would appreciate it. Thanks,

After presenting documentation of your marriage with a Panamanian citizen, you will have no problems working there.

Yes, there are lots of opportunities. As the previous post said, certainly even more with access to residency.
I was there last year, and there were many native-speaking teachers working in all capacities, with/without papers. Most involve p/time, so you'd need to combine a couple jobs, if you wanted f/time money (colleges/universities)
As with all developing countries, there are many private or international schools needing English teachers. Another option.

dan is correct. "No problema" if you`re married to a Panamanian. The paperwork will take time, but you`ll get your work permit. They won`t deny you, but a home visit by the authorities is necessary...if you have no kids.
I`d try one of the university jobs once your papers are in order.
