JohnS

The perfect solution --- I like M&M's, already only eat one meal a day --- what with no inhaling, you can keep the smoking thing ---

But --- might not our significant others have a bit of problem with this? I fear that they may be in for a little surprise or two -- Shocked

I wonder what kind of family posted the ad?

When I saw it first, I presumed it was for some minor princeling. But then when I noticed the lenghty list of 'duties' I changed my mind. Even the most insignificant Al Sauds seem to have a whole battery of staff to take care of their every whim: there's no way a teacher would have to put them to bed and fold their clotes - there'd be at least on Philippino maid to take care of that.

maybe it's for some pseudo sophisticated family who've got strange notions about starched aprons? It appeared to have been sent from Damman - if that means anything.

Pseudo seems the apposite word. To which one might add disingenuous, and ludicrously complacent of tone. How fallen is the cachet of the teaching profession, that such ministers are sprung forth to give it counsel!
Such twaddle makes one regret the abolition of corporal punishment, perhaps the best counter to those parents and guardians who would preserve their offspring in the aspic of puerile irresponsibility forever.

B.A/M.A in English Lit. is the likely culprit I suspect. I pictured S.Fox saying that whilst on a balcony of some sort myself.

Male, female or in between, anyone who seriously considers the job had better not mind regular treks up the Khyber.

Can you say that on TV?
