| I used to drink quite a bit with my buddies when I was younger. I still drink socially now but It seems the older I become, the older drinking gets as well. I guess it's because the older you get, the more conscious you are about your health, wealth, and overall happiness. Drinking is not pointless but it can be expensive and destructive if you don't control it. It can also lead to an awesome night out. All things in moderation, I guess. Such is the middle way, comprenez-vous? |

Moderation is key, we all should practice it, especially with posting on Internet forums ! |

I don't drink. I don't see the point and it doesn't taste good.
My life hasn't been so crushed by society, my spirit destroyed by the world, my mind so weak as to let all hope slip away to take up that nasty, disgusting, stupid, and dangerous habit. I've never had a warm glass of pee but I imagine it'd taste something like a warm glass of beer. Hell, its the same color and smells about as bad.
So hay, take another big one, do it for your liver, for your car, and for your broken life. And don't worry about the future - it doesn't matter!
Really - do whatever you like. I don't care what you do so long as you don't hurt other people while doing it. But seriously, if you are going to get insulting to people who don't drink... Oh, the grand stupidity of it.
Drinking =/= cool Haha. Far far from it. |

Everyone has their vice. If yours isn't drinking, it's something else but you'd rather not mention that. |

Heh. The, "If you don't drink you are a doushebag" comment got me laughing. I just had to reply to it.
As for my vice... is being annoying a vice? Otherwise I really don't have one. :/ |

I agree, to each his own. I like a good scotch, an ale, and champagne. But if a man wishes to do without, at least tell me which parties you're going to, I can make up the difference at the nomihodais you attend. |

I've noticed that people who have as many interests/pastimes as you do don't drink very much. Over-drinking fills the void, I guess. |

MJ is illegal and harshly judged by the close-minded majority, and other drugs are even more condemned.
what's the alternative? |

I love the Japanese Isakaya style of drinking. Around a table, you order a beer and it comes in less than 10 seconds it seems. We counted it once, and the record so far is 7 seconds.
However, I sometimes don't like the stage two of the Japanese drinking, which is inevitable Karaoke. Once the singing starts you have to shout to have a conversation with someone. But I guess it's great if you are too wasted to have a conversation
Also, after drinking an absolute sh*tload of beer at the isakaya, I walk for five minutes to a snack bar, get my first drink, and I find I just can't drink anymore. I don't get it. |

- Not at all. As well as drinking from time to time, I also have time to do other things |
