Is anyone willing to share information on the work environment at TAMUQ (Texas A&M - Qatar). I searched the boards and found very little on it!

Thanks in advance! Cool

I have no idea about, but if I were to guess, any university in the Gulf which is a branch of a proper university in US/Europe, is probably very professional and organized.

This includes TAMU, CMU, and...?

I don't work there, but I know someone who does. He feels very put out because he is expected to make progress with unmotivated students who need a lot of remediation... Old story?

Frankly, though, I almost can't blame him. I prefer dealing with people who have a wide spectrum of interests (tea drinking, driving fast, shopping) to those who are focused on careers in engineering.

I believe the compensation package is better than what you would get in one of the run-of-the-mill EFL programs, but perhaps you can enlighten us about that - ?
