Once again you've completely missed the point and made accusations against someone you have never met

Huh?

First I was praising you for your Arabic reading skills, and then you corrected me, leaving me to understand that you are among the vast majority of ESL teachers here who cannot read Arabic script. Am I wrong?

In the other instance, I was asking you a question to which you have not responded. Hardly an 'accusation', even for one of our hyper-sensitive male posters.

How dare you presume what I demand from my students..............

QED! But, in answer to your question, there was this:

Quote:
I find telling them that members of my family died fighting the Nazis usually shuts them up................for a while.

where do you find the time to make all these posts?

Quite a bizarre statement, seeing as it was you who found ample time to start this thread, and you openly admit - in the classic internet nerd fashion - that you 'wonder' as to the identity of posters here. Why on earth did you request 'comments', only in order to a) ignore them and b) accuse (as you might say) other posters of not being busybody teachers by posting comments you obviously don't much like.

So your busy lifestyle allowed you to do all of the above, but does not allow you to respond to any of the points raised by your own OP?

Now there's a bit of transference if ever I saw it! Anyone who has followed this thread will know just who was taking things personally (hint: it wasn't me).

Must be the male hormones kicking in again: if you can't/won't respond to comments you yourself solicited, accuse (yes, that word again) the female poster of being emotional. Getting a bit tired, don't you think?

Hilter and Sadam are dead now, and we let history judge them.
Now, what about uncle Sam and his wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, what about millions of people who died under the bombing of uncle Sams F15 and 16, arent they as well victims of modern holocaust?

Millions eh?

Obviously a bad case of BDS.

I have come across Hitler/Nazi - admiration in Muslim students in the UK solely because of the anti-semitism. They knew very little about him other than he killed Jews - which they were happy about.

Did you know that during WW2 there was a Muslim SS Division? The 13th SS Handschar Division comprised of Bosnian Muslims. They wore a green fez with the Nazi Deathshead emblem and were deployed in anti-partisan and anti-Semite actions in the Balkans/Yugoslavia.

I think, Hitler, unlike uncle Sam and Papa Noel, was not a Christian, but he was not an atheist either.
Hitler was brought up and confirmed as a Catholic, had abandoned Christianity by the time he was in control of Germany. Additionally, he was not an atheist either.

"When one looks at the atrocities committed under the Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler and compares them to the teacher of universal love, Jesus of Nazareth, one might come to the immediate conclusion that the notion that Hitler was a Christian is absurd" - Kevin Davids, author of an excellent article on Hitler.

Not true, miss-leading information and pro-Israeli propaganda.
The majority of Muslim students in Uk were un-happy with the atrocities committed by Hitler against the Jews, or against any other human being, regardless of their religion, race, or attributes.
The majority of Muslim students in UK or any other place are against the state of Israel and its occupation of Palestine and the atrocities committed against the Palestinian (Muslims, Christians, and Jews).
There are Jews students as well who are against the policies of Israel in Palestine.

You have to differentiate between Jews and Israelis.

I don't believe Hitler ever formally renounced Christianity. Indeed, the Vatican notoriously kept on good terms with the Third Reich throughout much, if not all, of its brief existence.

But as usual you miss the point. If the Bosnians reffered to the aptly named 'madman' were "Muslim" then Hitler and the overwhelming majority of Nazis were Christians, whether they went to church on Sunday (as a good many of them did) or not.

I've heard there's a website (well, many actually) which specialises in that sort of thing. I believe it's called MEMRI. You may find it helpful.

The questions is: Did the Vatican help and support Hitler' Nazism?

Uh, why is it 'the question'? And do you seriously expect a definitive answer (assuming there is one) on an ESL chat board?
