I recently received some advice to read out of a Mexican newspaper each day, highlighting words I didn't know (and looking them up), in order to expand my vocabulary.

Are any of the national newspapers linked online? If anyone could provide a link or some recommendations it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'll take this opportunity to plug the use of LANIC

Lanic is great! I used to use it before internet browsers exsisted when we had to use something called gopher and you had to know the address of the "page" (they weren't really pages then but I forget what they were called) you wanted to call up--no search engines.

The jornada is good, but really, I think "newspaper Spanish" and what real people speak on a day to day basis are pretty different. I'd recommend some trashy magazine instead of a newspaper.

True. I should add that my level of Spanish is probably intermediate and to the read La Jornada back-to-back would require a good dictionary and an uninterrupted day.
