Still waiting for the clearence to come back from the DOJ but

Geez, I hope not. Please let everyone know how it turns out, though!
Good luck.

It most likely won't be a problem - but it also depends on what country you are hoping to work in.

Where is it that you intend to go?

Incheon, his location says. Could have been more clearly expressed in the body of the message, though.

It was my first post. Probably not my last. My paperwork is in the shuffle right now, except for my "criminal background check". While I have some information, still wondering about time frames. This is a public school job,
how long does it usually take them to process the paperwork? (probably should have asked this in a new post)

I'm the one sitting here wearing a T-shirt that says: "There are no stupid questions, just stupid people" go figure Wink

On a related note, what exactly is the process for getting a criminal records check in the U.S.? Which agency do you obtain it from and does it have to be notarized and / or passed through the appropriate target country's embassy?

At least in China, the records check from the FBI is useless. An FBI records check cannot be notarized and ultimately legalized by the Chinese consulate for use in China.
