Concerning Arek Kurowski and Centrum Edukacji Orlen in Plock.
For anyone who has been offered a job there.

My story..........

After arriving at the airport i was told all of a sudden i was
going to Plock ( Płock ) and not Lodz as originally planned. When we arrived in Plock, Arek Kurowski broke the contract twice by neither setting me up with
a phone nor a bank account.

On my first day in the school in Plock (Centrum Educaji Plock), my
manager asked me did i have any experience, when i replied no, she
began to get angry, she then explained Arek told her that i had
experience.

I was promised two days induction also, but was instead put into a
classroom without any preparation on my first morning there.
The school had me working at all hours of the day and night, 7 in
the morning till 10 at night, which i didnt really mind as i
enjoyed the work, and i was told that this was common.

Yet, when i was told at the start of my second week there that my
wages were going to be delayed for some reason, i decided to do
some research. I discovered from speaking to other teachers and
students that i was the third native speaker there in 3months (my
two predecessors were from England), my manager Ewelinne Frankie or
Arek never told me this. I then decided to Google Areks name and
then discovered loads and loads of bad reports, a shocking amount,
on a number of different websites.

When i mentioned this to Ewelline Frankie at the school, she got
nasty, and told me that i had signed a contract and that she would
have to call the police if i tried to leave. she then contacted
Arek, who sent me a threatening text message telling me i was a
"long way from home" and that i "didnt know what i was doing". He
immediatly emailed itoi (before i could) who had set me up out
there, saying i wasnt going to work, was causing trouble etc. They then sent me an email asking me to explain myself. When i replied to the email with links to the pages with the complaints about Arek and a full explaination of what the real situation was, itoi never replied. I have chased
this up since, but they still havent replied and Arek still hasnt
given me any money.

The next two days after this the school continued threatening me,
saying they would take legal action etc. I realised from looking at
the contract they didnt have a leg to stand on but they said they
had "another" contract with Arek. I then told them i was going home
so they would stop harassing me, but I decided to look for work in
the city. As it was the start of December, it was impossible to
find work there (only 2 other schools), i was offered a job for after christmas but i declined, and decided to return home after all, having had enough of Poland.

A long story i know, but i think its a good idea to tell it just encase any of you think that scumbag Arek has changed.

My advice for any of you going to Poland is to avoid Arek Kurowski and Mellenium (or whatever he calls it)

and avoid Centrum Edukacji Orlen in Plock and that scaming *beep* Ewelinne Frankie , one is as bad as the other.

p.s. I know a guy who still teaches in Plock, i got an email from him a few weeks ago and he told me the school is still using Arek, which im sure you will agree is completely disgraceful.
