Hi all!
I'm an Australian who's currently teaching in Chile, however my partner and I are planning to come to BA later this year. I have a couple of questions. First, is there any possibiliy of securing employment from around august/september or am I just being ridiculoulsy optimistic. Next thing; is anyone able to give me an idea of the better institutes to teach for in BA. Or any to avoid for that matter! I had a couple of bad experiences in Santiago and really don't want to have to go through it again. And the last thing: what are the better areas in the city to try and find a place in? We are looking for an area thats not too expenisive but pleasent and with good entertainment options!
Thanks so much for giving me your time
Rachael

You can find work in Aug - Sept even though it's a bit late in the year.. Some teachers leave or take off, such as back packers passing through, leaving language institutes in need of a teacher right away..

Here in Buenos Aires the nicest barrios are Palermo and Belgrano (probably more expensive).. I live in Caballito and I love it here, though it's abit far from the subte. I would avoid Constitucion and Puerto Madero..

Suerte, Sabine.
