...bring dvd's and music into the country? I read on the Vietnamese embassy website that they might take away your stuff to see if there isn't any anti-government material......I just hope that they don't consider Star Trek (yes I am a bit geeky) to be offensive....  |

Are you talking about DVDs to supplement class material or movies?
There's an abundance of pirated Hollywood materials everywhere in SEA (and the rest of the world)
As for music, just keep them as mp3 files on your computer/laptop.
In general they shouldnt be too strict about this.
I only had to pay a 'tax' when LEAVING VN with almost 100 cds/dvds. |

Just curious, when and why are you heading over there?
I'm flying over mid September for a little break/vacation and then looking for a job. Well, i'm looking now and hope to score one by September. |
