Hi. I'm considering a position in the NT's but would prefer not to live in the area as it's quite industrial. For those of you that commute to work on the MTR, how long is your commute and what's it like? Thanks. |

Actually journeys on the MTR are pretty quick e.g. from Prince Edward to Tsuen Wan takes about 15- 20 minutes but you also have to factor in the time it takes to get to the MTR station and get to the platform and how far your school is from the MTR station at the other end.
I used to live in North Point and travel to Cheung Sha Wan. The journey on the MTR was about 20 mins but it took me 45 minutes to get from my flat to school! |

Which part of the NT do you mean? For some places, you use the MTR and for others, it's the KCR. In peak hours (which seems to be most of the time!!) you won't get a seat unless you get on at the first station. |

Thanks for your replies. The school is near Lai King station but I'd prefer not to live in the area. I'm not very familiar with HK so I've yet to decide where to live. |
