Dear Members,
Please think twice before working for these guys. They present a very poor standard and are not professional. They are teaching english to principals from schools who really don't want to be at class. Most will never pass IELTS academic 5.0. The principals will have their employment contracts cancelled if they don't pass IELTS test. Finally a very angry group.

Are you a CERT teacher? CERT has many projects. Do you work on the project referred to? Are you bitter because you are being blamed for your students' poor performance? Can you elaborate? What can you tell us about some of the other projects they are doing in various locations? Do they still teach the military? Can you tell us anything about the pay and benefits?

Isn't IELTS 5.0 a bit low?

About 23 percent of college-bound test takers score 5 or less on IELTS.

The average score for IELTS would be around 6.0.

Dear members,
Today students from the IELTS preparation class I taught at the HCT Womens College emailed me with the good news they passed with band 7. One student passed with band 8.The main problem with Cert is the academic supervisor Dr Jeffrey...... he is useless ok so everyone understands why so many teachers have left.
Finally your best reference will be from your students who have passed their exams not peer review. Have fun.

Again this is not a good place to work and it has nothing much to do with the students (you get a good class you're lucky, you get a bad class you grin and bear it) ... the problem is the ADMINISTRATION

if you were left to do your teaching it would be wonderful but all this shockingly incompetent administration does is cause problems - they forget and don't want to rock the boat..

the resources are not good - you will be given a old PC that can hardly work

the salaries are disgustingly low for such a rich country

the housing allowances are low - you may have to pay money out of your pocket

and the UAE is simply not what it used to be - the cost of living in increasing, the crime rate in on the rise...

DO NOT GO THERE...
