Hi gang,
I'm borrowing money from some family back home and I really don't have any clue as how to go about doing this. Anyone got any tips for transferring money?

Go to an international bank and open an account. All you need is a passport. Then ask them for the required information for wiring money to your account from abroad. They will give you the numbers and address. The fees for wire transfers are relatively high. Another option is to have the money put into your visa credit card account or debit card account and you can take it out through just about any ATM.
Cashiers checks or money orders are another option but they can take up to a month to clear.
