Any body else think its more than a little hot this week ?
I've heard rumours that the Health Ministry may declare a two day holiday this week because of it .Any comments about that ?

Hey I'm in Adana and we are dying here! 36 here today! They gave a holiday to all expecting women, and anyone else who looks like they are about to pass.
I usually escape to the UK when it gets this hot!

What really grinds my gears though, is just how daft students are when it comes to air-conditioning. Instead of controlling the temperature with the remote, they prefer to open and close the doors and windows with the air-conditioning running. So of course the system inevitably breaks down trying to cool down the entire building/street. Pillocks

Try teaching 20 - 12 year olds English with no AC four hours a day 7 days straight with no day off ! I went bonkers today and snapped as the sweat continued to drip down my face, back etc. God, it's outragous that they don't believe in having AC in classrooms here in Turkey. God bless the kids because I can't blame them for being difficult as I know I have been in this heat. God give me strength. 8 days and counting left of my summer camp teaching.

That sounds like an RFT job I turned down. 4 hours per day two week summercamp...25 per hour perchance?

What's RFT? No it's a private college and its 50 ytl per lesson. A little supplementary income for the summer. Need it with the downward slope of the dollar. Regardless 15 days with no day off is a hard thing to do for even the best of us.
