Hi,

I just noticed that there is some mail sitting in my Outbox for about a month. At first, I wondered why I didn't get a response from those I wrote to. When I checked the Sent Items, I did not find my e-mails there. Not seeing a number alongside the Outbox (as in Outlook), I didn't realise they could be held up there. I'm still a newbie, right? Tee hee!

How do I send messages from my Outbox? There is no Send button when I select the message, only an Edit one.

Thanks.
Kate

As no one has replied, I suggest you try emailing, or PMing, the moderators. They configured this forum so they should be able to help you with your quieries.

Dear KateCee,
Well, I have had PMs remain in my Outbox for quite a while; in my case that meant the intended receiver simply hadn't picked them up yet because eventually they did move over to the Sent box. Here's what the FAQ has to say:

"I cannot send private messages!
There are three reasons for this; you are not registered and/or not logged on, the board administrator has disabled private messaging for the entire board or the board administrator has prevented you from sending messages. If it is the later case you should try asking the administrator why.

Now, by "logged on" it MIGHT mean that you didn't check the box "Log me on automatically each visit" when you enter your user name and password.
As for sending messages from your Outbox, I guess maybe the only way to do it would be to open your message, copy it and then go to your In
box and try sending it again.
Don't know if any of this will help, but they're my best guesses.
Regards,
John

Dear dduck & John,

Strange. Just now, I couldn't see your posts until I got here to the Post Reply page. I did read them over the weekend. Anyway, the electricity went on the blink (yet again) just as I was typing out my note a few days back.

dduck, I did contact the moderators after I found nobody had replied. John, aah, the fine print. It does make sense that the messages sit in my Outbox till the recipient checks his/her mail to let it get through. The ones that were a month old are irrelevant now 'cos I'm already here in China. I safely deleted them. By the way, happy Thanksgiving 2 days in advance.

Thanks again, both of you.

Kate
