what can i expect as an American woman from Czech men? A little crudeness doesn't bother me, but i don't do well when told to "stay in my place". If there's to be any of that nonesense (or at least an abundance of it) i'd like to know ahead of time so I can prepare myself and not walk around screaming like some hysteric.

Cheuvanism is different from North america, but still exists.
To what extent a given man will be a stereotype depends on who you choose. It also depends on if he's a village guy or a city man.

It also doesn't really matter what he expects from you, ironicaly. So listen carefully: your mother-in-law will expect you to cook, clean, do the laundry, watch the kids, and also keep an impecable appearance. Yor mother-in-law will be your second spouse, so to speak. Because if there's one big fault of Czech men is they very rarely are willing to break free of mommy's influence. So just make sure you like his mother.

For heaven's sake, Layli is long gone from the forum, in the first place.

In the second place, she hadn't even ARRIVED in the Czech Rep when she posted - she's not likely to be contemplating MARRAIGE.

Honestly, can't we just tell people like this what to expect from their male STUDENTS and COWORKERS and the guy on the street without assuming that she's ready to become an 'ova'???!!

Quite honestly, she's far more likely to encounter MCP crap from her expat co-teachers than from any Czech guy who might eventually take an interest in her romantically.

Was the question, I believe. Was she just asking about random passers-by or on a more intimate level? I doubt she was just asking about the former. Perhaps she was asking about colleagues, but my interpretation was on a romantic level.

In the first place - to what extent should we keep track of which posters will or will not return to the forum? How should we know if she's gone never to return or will come back in a few months?

But that wasn't the question.

Take a chill pill spiral.
