This man has dual Peruvian and Japanese citizenship, I thought that was impossible. He looks very similar to the mayor of Tokyo Ishihara. there are some disturbing things going on here.

Japan extended dual nationality to the descendents of Japanese in some South American countries. Peru and Brazil qualify but I'm not sure which others.

Not sure whether to find this hilarious or disturbing.

It's obviously an attempt to try and dodge possible extradition from Chile to Peru and the serious charges that await him there.

I guess at least he's already realised (or been told) that "north Korea" are the magic words to use to get yourself lots of easy votes in Japan. Might not be so effective in Spanish though, so I wonder if he can say them in Japanese.

For Brazilians or Peruvians to get dual citizenship, do they have to live in Japan for a certain amount of time? Fujimori didn't live here at all until he fled Peru (I think).

The main thing is, who is going to vote for such an evil guy?

Sure hope not many, but having said that with all the criminals in the government in recent years, he might fit right in.

I was reading about this the other day. I don't think he'll do that well. How much time does he have in Japan? I think many Japanese (especially those who are active voters) will take that into consideration. At least, I'd like to think so! lol.
