We speak English at home, although it's not our native language.
We have different mother tongues, but it makes more sense for me to learn his (Dutch), because it's more widely spread, and because we're going to be living in his country |

| We speak a mix of Japanese and English, but I'd say English is the dominant language. When his mother stayed with us for 10 days we spoke 100% Japanese 100% of the time. |

We speak mainly English at home. I wish my husband would use Japanese with our kids at least, but he does not/ will not. Sometimes I think he wants to erase their connection to Japan. He told me once that he wants them to be American--so I guess that means not be able to speak another language.

| My wife and I speak English, except when she is angry, then she speaks Chavacano. Our children speak English at home. |

Funny, that's what my grandparents did with my mother. My mom came over when she was one and during the 1950s people were shunned if they didn't speak English. So they spoke English to my mother. She says that she can understand Romanian, but can't speak it. I don't know how much she understands though. |

Just tell your mom 'te iubesc mult' - she'll know that one. |

I know that mult is very, so I'm guessing it means I love you. |

| My wife grew up about 40 kms away from me, is that foreign enough? She went to a private school, whereas mine was public. |
