YOu're in Krakow now? I would suggest asking friends, usually contacts help out the most.

Naturegirl--
Thanks, I've gotten some advice from friends here in Krakow, but I figured the board regulars here could give me some useful info as well.

Friendmole,

I've just finished my 2nd year teaching at a private language school here. I, too, do not have a TEFL certificate but have taught for a few years and have a couple of degrees. I had no trouble getting a job.

I reckon it's generally down to your CV, so my advice is to send off your CV to all the decent-looking schools and wait for them to contact you in late September/early October.

If you want any more details, PM me.

Good luck
J.
