I have read on this discussion board about the possibility of working with a student visa. Apparently it's possible to work for up to four hours per day. It also appears that student visas can only be obtained in one's own country.

Assuming that the above is the case (please correct me if I'm wrong), can anyone suggest a suitable school in S�o Paulo or Porto Alegre (or anywhere else)? Are student visas only available for university students or are students at private language schools also eligible? Are there any university courses for students of Portuguese as a second language which would confer eligibility for a student visa? I have been scouring the net for a while but to no avail.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
