Well, I'll thank you to not get this one deleted as well.

Yamanote - you are a joke. Nova isn't going anywhere.

Is that a personal attack?

Regarding Nova "going" or not, I cannot predict the future. It doesn't look bright for Nova. You not being in Japan makes it rather difficult for you to make an accurate judgement, don't you think?

Their advertising is definitely gone.

If they do "go", they won't be the first. They would be the biggest to "go", and remember that they are the first to have their business activities restricted by the government. That isn't something for you to celebrate over.

Lado declared bankruptcy this year and they were a much more professional outfit than Nova ever was.

That may be so but given the fact that they can't sell courses to new students it wouldn't make much sense to advertise them. It would show a far more alarming lack of business sense to continue throwing money away promoting something that isn't for sale.

^^^How old are you guys, if you dont mind me asking?

I'm asking this because I plan to go to Japan sometime next year to teach but I might be too young. Most people go around when they're 23/24 right?

26, but that's because I took the scenic route in college. I'm kind of guessing here, but I doubt age matters that much. You should be fine...

Most folks are probably at least 23, since few people get their degree before that. AFAIK, most organizations require a four year degree in order to teach.

i'm in the 20's, but the big thing is that you have your degree. Outside of that a clean record and making a good impression at the interview seems to be pretty much everthing you need, at least that was my impression for Nova.

I'll be 22 when I leave in November. The people at my interview session were all 22-27. How old will you be next year if you don't mind me asking? ^.^

Odd that they would tell you that. Not only does it specifically say on their website that you have to have a degree, but you need to bring the original to the interview.
