Anyone spent any time in Sur lately? Know anyone that lives there? What is there to do there? I need specifics. Any gyms? Diving? Any resorts where I can wear "normal" beach attire? What's it like to actually live there? Activities? |

Well, obviously Sur is a small coastal town but certainly pleasant enough. No resorts but miles of beaches to find and use wearing whatever swimwear you would like I suppose - not too busy out there except in turtle season. A couple of bars in some hotels, Indian, arabic restaurants, friendly people , all in all, a quiet place.
Gyms ? I don't know but would hazard a guess that you could use one at a hotel - nothing special I'm sure. Small town posting - adjust and prepare mentally and you'll be alright.
