Hey everyone

I read the working Illegally topic and it brought to mind of the quandry of driving down south from the states with your car and keeping it in the country...All those import duties.

In my search to find a solution throughout the web I bumped into this gringo whom will go unnamed who knew someone at the border that can get past the 90 day tourist visa issue by bribing the border officer..a friend of his.

Hey I am a free market guy. If it takes a little grease Wink to move the cart to market then my opportunity costs of not getting to the market or staying in the market are lower by the grease.

Where is the moral drama with this other than bending beauracratic rules. I know it is relativism to say I am not trafficing in human cargo so it isn't bad, but, come on.

The work permit issue and perpetual tourist visa issue, vehicle permits are all connected to the free flow of goods and people. There should be a filter for keeping the people that take advantage, Twisted Evil but this is a brick wall that has to be scaled by greasing Rolling Eyes the gate.

Your thought professor/as

D

That makes you the corrupter, and the border official the corrupted. Thanks for doing your part to make one of Costa Rica's many problems worse. With people like your gringo friend "helping" people so much, it makes it a lot easier for Colombian hitmen and U.S. pedophiles on the lam to extend their vacations in Costa Rica as well.
