What is the typical day at Nova? Is it like a nine to five or something else? How many hours a day does one work? Per week? 4 or 5 or 6 days a week? Thanks for the responses in advance. |

Reading this and your other post (about hair length at Nova) makes me curious. Have you signed a contract with them? Did you do so without checking out hair length and working hours first? If so, I'd say you have to suck up whatever they throw at you. |

The answer is on the NOVA home page. Pretty clearly laid out for how many hours, and with starting and ending time for each day of the week.
Expect to teach 4 lessons the first half of your day, get a meal break, then do 4 more. You will have roughly 10 minutes between classes. |

Evening shifts are the norm. As Glenski says, usually 4 classes, meal break, 4 classes. Or sometimes 5 classes, break and then 3 classes after, or vice versa.
Expect to have exactly, not roughly, 10 minutes before you hear the chimes for the next class! |

No I haven't signed a contract. I've only spoken with them about a possible teaching position. I'll be in Japan next month to check out that school and the others as well.
I was mainly wondering at about what time does the workday start and end. Thanks for the help |

For most eikaiwa jobs, consider a 12-8 shift or 1-9 shift the norm. |
