You can expect to be offered one of the worst teaching jobs in Japan.

If you still want to know more about the interview process after reading the threads above, then you must be in a very sad situation right now.

From the outside looking in, I firmly believe employers and employees should be free to contract for whatever they agree is a fair wage. However, I really think I'd pack up and move on before I taught 10 mind-numbing classes per day, every day, just to earn 250,000 per month before taxes.

The threads listed above are from 2003 and 2005. Does anyone currently work for Gaba who can comment on the situation. They are advertising like crazy in Tokyo! Is it worth doing a few lessons a week with them? Or would it be better to find something on my own?
Thanks!

If you want to make 1350 an hour, like working 6pm-11pm and on weekends, and not get paid for transportation, then apply to them.

I worked for them before and now shake my head for ever applying. I'm making more than $4000/hour now.

Also, at my job now I don't have to do a full on sprint to use the bathroom. Their 5 minute breaks are actually about 2-3 minutes.

Do yourself a huge favor, and apply elsewhere!

$4000 an hour?! That is quite a step up from Gaba, isn't it!

Thanks for the advice. It sounds a bit 'nova-ish', and I didn't go forward with my contract there after the 3 day training.....so, I'll stay away unless I'm completely desperate!
