i've got a job lined up in osaka starting in may, and wondered what types of sports would be on offer, and whether most sports are open to both sexes. i know the japanese are big on baseball- does this translate to many opportunities to play recreational softball? how about badminton, athletics, table tennis etc? if anyone has any particular info on osaka, i would really appreciate receiving it, if not, any general info on japanese sports activities would be good too.
