Getting much more active now. How old should they be before they get speyed and neutered, and what kind of jabs should they have? I got some of my students interested in animal rights, and these ones are right on their doorstep so to speak.

Some vets won't spay or neuter till the cat is a year old, but they might feel differently about street cats, as they can indeed breed before then. It's probably most adviseable for the females, who can get pregnant before they're physically mature enough, which really isn'y good for them or thier babies...
As for shots, the vet will know which ones they need. If I were you, I'd take up a collection, or find a vet who will do it cheap-- this stuff can get really expensive! |

Nice to hear, thank you for getting involved. As stated they are too young for neutering but should be ready for vaccinations at around 10 weeks.
See the linked list here:

In the meantime bring the person with the box a bag of kitten food (10 Lira)as well as any old blankets/towels etc... this will at least help the person who is already helping them.
There are links in this thread that you can use to help find a vet. We used the site below and found an English speaking person who is helping us.

Compare me to A. Hitler all you like, proves your are indeed an under educated, unimaginative fool. Pity for your students. |
I seem to remember someone unjustly calling 007 'a p.rick', before preaching to him about the need for manners ...
As for being imaginative and what not ... considering that you fail to see the consequences of your actions if they don't bite you on the nose, and that you reply to ideas contrary to your own with childish name calling ... I'm glad you feel that we don't possess the same level of imagination and education ... |

A 'chip monk', eh? Was it wearing a long robe and dragging a cross?
Be careful of the squirrels - they will attack if they are cornered. They'll pounce upon you without mercy and have their relatives hurl nuts at you from trees. |
