I suppose much of the quality of the info posted on these forums depends on the quality of the posters collection of EFL hearsay Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
First-hand knowledge seems to be the best bet - but this thread is prime example of how that can also vary!!!!!!!!

Really? I would have said this thread is a perfect example of how about three male, white, middle-aged posters can bully, can denigrate, can be caustic, can troll their way through threads and in spite of repeated entreaties, still NOT rise to the occasion to contribute anything, absolutely anything of substance. It's called Internet bullying -- and it is the worst form of cowardice because not one would have the courage to say directly what they say hiding behind their computers so anonymously.

So, again, Vikuk, I ask you for the TENTH time in several days -- can you raise your tone and demeanor, and encourage to cohorts to do the same or must we confine ourselves at your urging to the intellectual gutter?

I would have thought real quality postal "susbstance" could have something to do with passing on real quality first-hand information - but then again that's just silly rude ol' me Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
However warning folk to taking some second/thirdhand EFL hearsay with a "pinch of salt" (and certainly not as gospel) could certainly be regarded as substansive advice Wink

To our very kind Achoo somewhere-over-the-rainbow,
You have become what I might call my own private "yap dog"...whenever I make a post, you find a way to be rude and follow in the footsteps of the person above. Your kindness in ceasing to behave so pathologically rudely would be most apprec.iated and I can only hope that you are capable of such a gesture.

Your ceasing to post erroneous information (much of it second and third hand as the poster above me pointed out) would be much appreciated.
Do we need to resurect the ' I saw it with my own eyes in Guangzhou when it has been proven I was in Harbin at the time' thread?
You need to start being more honest with the posters here (and yourself I would suggest), and less condescending. I know you think you're the old China hand here but many of us have been here a lot longer than you and have known you through your various reincarnations and can see right through you.

Now who's being rude.

If you are in China, why does your ISP number come up with an Australian ISP configuration? Might you answer that? No..you don't have too...we'll leave that to SuperMario...understand?

And I have been through no reincarnations, but like Dante wrote in the Divinne Commedia, "on the path from h*ll"...have you ever read Dante?
