have decided to return to china. did the leg work. tried to examine the schools as much as possible. narrowed the field. selected a school. took a job offer. the school mentions they need me asap. ask about the visa. they say they can't help me with the visa!!!. back to square one.
visa US$100. expedite fee $30. transist to chicago (must apply in person) approx $150. one way ticket to beijing $900. that's more than a little bit of change to come to a school that can even be bothered to write the letter for the visa.

someone pm please if they can recommend a school/ entity that has the slightest idea what they are doing.

thanks

Or go via HK and get a 6 month F over-the-counter variety.
However due to the latest apparent visa rumpus between the states and China - if they're available to USA citizens and the ease of which they can be converted into a latter Z visa is an issue of much debate in these columns Laughing Laughing

Doesn't it occur to you that if the school won't give you a proper invitation letter to legally obtain a Z visa then maybe you should not take that job ?

If they won't help you with legal employment in a proper process then why work there ?

If you have a background in science, maths or IT and experience of teaching these subjects in a foreign language i.e English as well as the standard EFL fare then I may know of an opening.

If your interested please pm me.
