What would it be like? Seen a good deal for going there during the month. Will it be a holiday spoiler? |

Nope, you'll get better service in restaurants too. |

It depends on where you go. Istanbul and the west are fine and fairly unaffected by ramazan. In the central and eastern ends of anatolia, things can be a bit more...closed. Kayseri was really quiet in ramazan because everything to do with food or drink was shut during the day and everyone was at home with their families at iftar or filling up every free space in every restaurant so it was hard to find somewhere to eat or even just to sit and chill. After iftar, the streets were dead. Everyone was at home. Strangely enough, even more touristy Cappadocia was similar though less extreme-- and this is based on my experience of 4 ramazans in those areas.
But again, that's not really on the tourist trail (outside of tourist season) so you're probably not going there anyway. Istanbul will be fine; the Aegean will be fine; you'll be fine.
Enjoy. |

Thanks both for quick replies. Is a really good deal so I'll go for it. Weather will be good come September in Turkey won't it? |

It's probably the best time. Where do you plan to go? |

I wouldn't recommend Konya in Ramazan, but, as the others have said, you'll be fine in the west. Weather is wonderful, sea warm. Come and have a great holiday! |
