Nah, it's all good. Although being on the 21st floor and watching everything move like it was built on rubber was quite the first-time experience for me I must say. Quickly unplugged the computer and legged it down the stairs to my car in the basement. I still feel like the ground is moving a bit though. Very wierd sensation. |

Im currently on antibiotics for an illness and last night they knocked me out (first dose), anyway about midnight I was woken up by the bed shaking!!!
I laid there for about 20seconds thinking it was the drugs, but then I realised outside I could hear doors opening and people talking about the quake.
A couple of volcanos near Bandung have been very active the last week, so Im guessing they are the culprits |

I'm in Kelapa Gading too. Yeah, a bit of excitement, but no damage or injuries. Just gave us a bit of a wiggle and slopped some water out of the swimming pool. Nice to finally meet the neighbours. People in apartment complexes don't seem to be as gregarious as people in kampungs.
P.S. I think the quake was a 7.0, not a 7.5. |

I live in Central Jakarta and didn't feel a thing. I must be a good sleeper. |

it was scary for awhile. i was on the 28th floor and it felt like the floor was buckling and might collapse. I ran down the stairs barefoot and now have some sinister blisters on my poor feet.
the epicenter was off the n. coast of java but to my knowledge there have been no reports of serious damage which we would expect from a quake that size. |

wow, we should keep this as a permanent thread at the top. Padang, Sumatra, where else? Yeah it seems a busy pattern lately. Hope all is well. |
