Where can I get decent dental care in San Jose, and how much will it cost me? It's been far too long and I imagine I've a cavity or 30 that needs taking care of.

ULACIT, where I work, has a big school of dentistry, with a clinic open to the public. I have never gone there, but I have been told that they have less expensive rates in comparison to regular dentists.

ULACIT is two blocks east of El Caribe (the bus station for Limon).

In Pavas John Primm (I hope he doesn't mind me using his name) goes to a dentist that is quite reasonable. $16.00 for teeth cleaning, $28.00 for root canals, $100.00 for crowns. Her name is Dra. Marjorie Charpentier
231-5772 / or 386-2218... I have an appointment with her for the first time this coming Friday.

Snorklequeen, that obviously depends on whether you have a car or something. Pavas is the suburb west of Rohrmoser, and it takes about ten-fifteen minutes by bus to get there from the Coca-Cola area (the geographical part of this information is not confirmed by a Tico so I may be mistaken). I work there every Monday and Wednesday, that's why it would be convenient to go to a dentist there.

I'd say about twenty minutes, but only when it is not rush hour.

Yeah, I should say ... it takes about fifteen minutes to go to my bus stop which is only barely in Pavas (Rohrmoser Plaza). John Hall is correct!

I agree with everyone. Around 20 minutes from Coca Cola to Plaza Rohrmoser. The dental office is a bit farther down, about 5 or 10 minutes more.

Well, I think there's a pool in Rohrmoser ... and then there's the ten-foot deep "puddles" that appear during rainstorms which I have to swim through to get to work. So I guess there could be snorkeling.

Hey Ole!

When I get down there end of the month I just might try that dentist as well.

See you soon.
