Cleo is traveling right now and rarely has a connection. No need for her to waste her limited access on a troll anyway...

If this isn't a troll, we have someone with serious mental problems... the fact that this person claims to be Muslim female only makes it all the more obvious. Most of 'her' posts are rambling nonsense.

I don't feel sorry for 'her.' I feel sorry for the people that have to work with 'her' - both students and fellow teachers.

Not that it matters for this thread, but as far as I know, stonings do not take place in SA. They used to, but were stopped, and I don't know when.

Female criminals convicted of capital crimes are also beheaded. Have read accounts of such myself.

As far as I am concerned, this has nothing to do with SusanWW being a woman. How do we know that she is really a woman, anyway? Posters can take male or female names. I may in fact be a woman, for all you know.

For the record, I've been following this forum for some time, even before I started to post. I have never thought that women were treated especially poorly. The posters on this board are equal-opportunity in their scathing replies. They are just especially hard on newbies and on non-native speakers...and on anyone who appears to be Muslim, I'm ashamed to note.

I think her claim to be a Muslim is part of the windup. If we go back and look at 'her' posts, it comes out that being able to do haj is an added benefit of living there, and s/he follows up the token 'inshallah', but never mentions it again.

Just as I noticed many teachers in the Gulf were of their fellow faculty members. I was always surprised at how many teachers wouldn't give the new staff in September any assistance at all learning the system... especially if they were non-native speakers.

Latteegirl, just please don't tell my wife. After so many years of marriage and having children, it would destroy her to find out that I am gender-challenged!
