If what you posted is true, then you are an extreme hedonist, paying scant regard for the consequences of your hedonistic lifestyle. But on a subjective level you are most likely 'happier' than ghost, who posseses a disposition which tends to be more negative.

I think a hedonistic breakfast would have involved more alcohol, and maybe some strippers. But it makes me feel good that you think that. I'm just a nursing mom. I eat a lot of cheese. At 5 1/2 months, Ender is the size of a 7 or 8 month baby. He's almost tripled his birth weight. I have to eat so much I'm actually bored of eating.
Maybe if you tried some nice 4 hour breakfasts you'd feel less negative! Obviously you don't eat for 4 hours. I tried to learn Suduko and failed, we mocked some newspapers, and really it was just a leisurely Sunday morning outside in the shade. Ender had a nap.
All things in moderation, even things that are good for you. No one ever found themselves on their deathbed wishing they'd excercised more and eaten less cake. That's my advice for the day. |

Ghost I was half way through a post when I accidentally deleted it, I then found that Yaramaz had said the same thing - a glass of water for breakfast is not a healthy choice!
However, I admire you for your tenacity with the Korean language , I also considered going to those lessons in Seoul but was too lazy to make the round trip from my city every Saturday.
You should also talk to some Berlitz teachers in Korea and find out how they are ripped off and don't get the severance pay owed to them! Yaramaz certainly does not need to work for Berlitz! |

Ghost, as someone who seems to know a lot about fitness and nutrition and health, I am surprised that you made the mistake of omitting breakfast just to make up for a few extra calories from a cake! Breakfast is essential to get your metabolism going in the morning. If you don't eat breakfast, your body is coasting on no fuel and in the end you end up burning fewer calories because your body thinks it is starving and slows down to preserve itself. As well, if you skip breakfast, you'll end up hungry later on and probably eat the whole cake. It's better to eat 5 or 6 mini meals throughout the day to keep the homefires burning steadily.

Yes, ghost knows all that - and very rarely, if ever skips breakfast - but every now and then does a 'semi fast' for half a day or a day - a way of letting the intestines breath freely for a while, instead of always processing food. Fasting every now and then is good, even if it only a partial fast.
Also, because ghost tends to keep late hours, and eats late at night (that's bad too, everyone says!), it is often not hungry in the morning for a couple of hours after getting up, so sometimes forgoes breakfast in the early morning in favor of a more substantial 'brunch' at around 10-11am. Ghost also follows the advice you give and tends to eat 3 square meals and two snacks per day for a total of 5 meals. Because ghost works in a teacher training college in Korea, with hours between 9am-5pm required every day, it is sometimes difficult to eat at the chosen times, so ghost just has a lot of tupperware boxes with different foods inside.....Korean food, despite being fairly healthy and low in fat, was never a favorite with ghost. Turkish food wins hands down, and is among the best cuisines ghost has tasted. That aspect of Turkey is certainly missed.

Now, there's a question seemingly from about a million miles out in left field....
maybe I missed something relevant on some prior page? |

No - there are thousands of 'goyim' (non jews) working for Berlitz. If you are jewish, though, your application will be received like anyone else. Berlitz is an equal opportunity employer, and the main criteria, as already mentioned, is your being able to work under the Berlitz method, which is quite uniform and stereotypical in all the Berlitz schools throughout the world. The method has its detractors, but Berlitz is still a highly profitable company and so the method is carried on.
Jewish people don't generally go into teaching. They generally find better ways to earn money.

Thank you for the information about Berlitz, Mr Ghost. I might be applying to Berlitz after I have finished my contract since they seem to be paying much better (in the $20-$25 per hour range, net.) than the school that I am working at the present .
The reason why I asked if Berlitz employed non-Jews was the incident that I was told about a few years ago. A British person of Arab origin wanted to teach English in Istanbul. He had a BA in Humanities from a prestigious London university and was very presentable. He enrolled on a one-week training course at Berlitz in Istanbul. The teacher trainer, who was a non-native speaker of English from Israel, found out that his parents were Arabs on the second day of the course and the following day one of the owners told him that they did not want him. So he left and never worked for Berlitz. Lucky for him perhaps, because when I met him two years ago, he was working for a television broadcasting company in Cardiff, Wales.
I think the real reason that they did not want him was due to - no, not what you are thinking of, he was not obese - his white socks! Strange, but he liked wearing white socks all the time, even with black trousers! |

He should have made a police complaint about that. |

Some teachers who work for Berlitz Montreal are nothing special to look at, so it is more a question of whether you can deliver the goods using the Berlitz method which is pretty rigid and uniform.
Class preparation is kept to a minimum, because you just teach by the script for that particular class.
If you do well at Berlitz, you can work there for a long time. Many become career teachers at Berlitz which is rare in this business.

| Maybe they stay there a long time because they only know how to teach the no-think Berlitz method and no other school will take them seriously? |
