Hi all you ESL posters here.. I love this site.. BUT I have a question I haven't seen asked here...
If I have no teaching/ESL experience (But lots of training of adults and great communication skills - I have facilitated many training programs)..
..and was wondering if there are any types of ESL positions that I might be able to get into, just as a taster of the industry.. as I am not sure if I will like being an ESL teacher.
Maybe perhaps a summer camp situation for a short term.. Or what about conversation classes, where the students have already mastered the basics.. would that give me an insight into the ESL industry..
Actually I did once do a language exchange with a Spanish speaking lawyer.. an hour a day alternated between Spanish/English.. She said I was her best English teacher ever..
I am heading off to Thailand in the next week or so, but would consider a number of other Asian Countries..
Oh and I am a 55yr old white male.. with a lifetime of experience in sales and business. and unfortunately NO degrees.. |

Try the South of China, you'd get something akin in climate, and the lack of qualification may not be a road-block. |
