I can't think of any specific places...probably Condesa if anywhere.

There is a new place on Rio Tiber, close to the Angel, that advertises Guiness on tap. Not the canned stuff.

I'm just soooo lazy. I live in Coyoacan and still missed it. Actually, I have an excuse this time...gf's sister's First Communion. Yawn...

If you're running out of ideas Guy, then might I suggest a Cruz Azul game at Estadio Azul?

Failing that, if there are any peeps who want to see La Celestes regularly, let me know! I go to a few of the home games each season, but the gf lacks the passion to make it a regular event Sad

Never short on ideas in a city this size, but a footie match is a good one too. I was also thinking a bullfight sometime for anyone not shy or disgusted by the idea...

and then there's Lucha Libre!

Thelma--tell us the gossip!!!!

No offence Gary, but Estadio Azul (or any of the football stadiums) is the last place I'd want to go with a gaggle of gringos. There are certain places where one should do their best to blend in and not be gabbing away in English, a Latin American football stadium is most definately one of them.

I have proposal for a November rendezvous in Veracruz, host of this year's MEXTESOL convention.
Any takers?

I'm in for meeting up at MEXTESOL! School is pretty much shut down that week, so I might head east a bit early and take in a little of the beach. Smile

I have my Cruz Azul top - I totally look Mexican! Apart from being 6'2", blue eyed etc....

Have you been to Estadio Azul? It's normally half empty, very family orientated, very friendly.

I like the idea of bullfighting thought - it doesn't start until Oct/Nov though? I think...

awwww geaaronson... you sure know how to flatter me!! hee hee hee

I cant find that questionnaire anywhere. I remember it being mentioned either here or the General Topics forum and I thought moonraven posted it... certainly would have commented on it. But this was more than a year ago and my searches turn up nothing. Searching MR's old post dont help cuz there are sooooooo many!

Anyone remember a thread about a online questionnaire that would determine where on the political spectrum your beliefs lie? I remember coming up slightly right of center and being somewhat surprised by that (thought I was slightly left of center) but now I agree with said questionnaire.

Just did the test

I fell far enough to the right to confirm I am the "Right of Hitler capitalist pig" I thought I was but disappointingly under the horizontal line, making me slightly libertarian - WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relax Phil, Libertarian basically means that you want the government to stay out of your private life.
