Russell, Wembley '77 involved the dismantling of the goals and the removal of the playing surface. Not exactly first degree murder, and certainly not comparable to the antics of England's finest. |
This is the point it's all HISTORY! - Wembley 77 & England's finest.

I can't see fans rushing north of the border to see our teams. Attendances are already pathetic: just look at the Edinburgh and Dundee derbies. And as for Aberdeen... |
Since the introduction of Ryanair, Easyjet, BMIbaby, WOW & FlyBe (did I miss anyone) it will be cheaper for Watford fans to see Aberdeen than see Sunderland and viceversa. I regularly jet to Dublin, Manchester & London for less than the price of a decent curry. I recently did a Man City game day return for 30. It won't be less than Livi fans I promise you - just wait and see English football is buzzing - We even have live non-league on Sky and it's bloody entertaining!

A British league will only marginalise Scottish clubs, |
If we are not up to it so be it - I don't think so. It will give us proper competition. Don't tell me the 500 die hards won't turn up to see Elgin City. They will still play the same teams. The difference will be what teams can aspire to. Higher up there will be fans from the south bringing money. I was at the Hartlepool v QPR game last year and the QPR fans were numbered 2500. When they can fly to Scotland to see QPR just wait and see - no train, no cars just EASYjet, Bmi etc cashing in - they did it for the Open at Troon and they'd do it for football - as far as Stelios is concerned money talks - Easyjet fly where the punters want to go (21st Century economics).

The dearth of decent Scottish players will continue as long as there are youth leagues with teams of eleven playing on full-size pitches. |
That isn't allowed here in Hamilton or Motherwell. If it's happening in the Highlands then have a word with the SFA. If they don't do anything then take control yourself.
Right I'm away for 3 weeks - I've got some observation work in China starting on Saturday - nothing to do with teaching - 3 weeks of real FOOTBALL BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE |

Afore ye go, Russell, I didn't mean that the cost would put fans off travelling north - I meant the dire quality of the opposition. I can't see that improving in the next few years. |

As well as can be expected seeing as we've no decent players and McBerti did his best to make things as bad as he could. |

At last the wonderful 'fans' of Aberdeen have been exposed - women who spit and throw bottles at foreigners - lovely people. Mind you it was only Ricksen. |

This does not represent the norm in Scotland!

Well in Glasgow at any rate. It's embarassing that a small minority always seem to spoil it and provide the bad publicity. |

Interesting that Anne Begg couldn't bring herself to say "attacking England supporters" and settles for "oposing teams". If Mr Smith had been wearing a Brazil top, I doubt he would have been set upon. |

Aberdeen fans at it again making false accusations; a "report complimented the behaviour of the Celtic fans". They'd be better off watching the cricket next door or popping over to that lovely beach than worrying about anything from us.
