There are different strategies for teaching children and teaching adults. After working with academically-oriented university students and adults, I certainly could not walk into a classroom full of kids and expect my teaching methods to work! The same works in reverse--games and activities that work with children might be met with sour expressions by adults--especially students of business English. Depending on where you go, you might find that you have classes with four engineers, instead of a classroom full of 20 or 30 children. And adults may be less able to learn languages, if you believe the theories. Of course, the general experience of being in a classroom and organizing activities and tasks will help.
