I can't remember - is it OK to flush toilet paper down the loo in Asia, or not? I know it isn't in many Central and South American countries, but I'm not sure about here.

In Singapore, a civilised country, it is necessary to perform this action although I am not aware of any differences in schools and public toilets.

My limited personal exerience in Malaysia - - yes, although there may be locations where this practice is not welcomed.

However, in Korea, Thailand and China you may find a little backet in a corner near the squat recepticle to dispose of the used paper.
