Hi everyone; I was wondering if someone can advise me of a decent calling card to buy for family and friends to call me when I'm in Taiwan. There seem to be a lot out there, but I'd like to find a decent one.
Also, what does one have to do over in Taiwan to call back to North America?
thanks,
-Rupert |

ok....first to help you out more we'd need to know where family is calling you from...i'm going to assume Canada....
they can call you direct from Canada, and many phone companies offer discounted rates if you are going to be making LD phone calls to just one country...for example...Bell charges about $.10/min to Taiwan....
for you calling home...one of the cheapest and easiest ways is just with your cell phone...thats what I use to call my folks in Canada, and I talk to them for about an hour or so each time, and it uses up about 250-300NT on my pre-paid card....thats fine with me, and a lot cheaper than my folks calling me...
as far as the "how to dial Canada" question.... 002 1 (area code) (number) |

| Yes, my family will be calling from the US. I would like to get them a card that is able to call my cell or my land line in Taiwan, one that isn't a complete ripoff. |
