I need to do one of these within my first year of the NET contract. Does anyone know where I can do one of these in HK? |

Hi there
There are hundreds of certs being advertised these days, but only two of them are globally recognised - the Cambridge CELTA and the Trinity TESOL (these are the two which are accepted and accredited by the British Council). Both courses deal with teaching EFL to adults.
The Trinity TESOL can be done in Hong Kong with English for Asia:

It's a 4-week intensive course; I did it in 2000 and it was great.
Unfortunately the CELTA can't be done in Hong Kong but you could do it in lots of locations around Asia:

And finally, there's also the Cambridge CELTYL, another recognised course, dealing solely with Young Learners. This can be done at the British Council Hong Kong; it's part time and lasts for 10 weeks:

I hope this helps... |
