I'm getting ready to move to Berlin with my whopping savings of 5000 YTL. Does anybody know if it is better to change it into Euros here in Istanbul? Or should I take it all in Lira and wait to exchange it in Germany? Anybody have experience on this?

| According to the www.xe.com website, 5000 Lira is worth 2812 Euro today. There are places around Istanbul where you can exchange Lira for Euro. Check them out. My guess would be that you will get a better deal to exchange here rather than in Germany. |
